» About Chair Massage

Chair massage is terrific for public settings, such as an office or health food store, but it’s also a great way for the massage "newbie" to get an introduction to the service (we must warn you though – you’re very likely to be unable to quit after the first one!).
The client remains clothed and sits face forward in a specially designed chair. Contrary to popular belief, this is not a chair that must be plugged in! The only power is coming from the hands of the therapist, and they’re guaranteed to be more sensitive, nurturing, and relieving than any chair requiring electricity.
Sitting face forward, the client’s face, arms and knees are comfortably supported. This allows the therapist to provide a surprisingly complete massage. Of course, the client’s head, neck, upper and lower back may be massaged. But equally therapeutic and relieving, are the arms and hands. People in sedentary jobs requiring much typing, writing, or even the plant worker using his or her upper body strength for much of the day, benefit greatly from chair massage.
The beauty is that chair massage sessions are quick: On-Site Associates’ typical sessions are 15 or 30 minutes (we have several options so please contact us for more information). Furthermore, there is no undressing and dressing time, and no cream or oil on the skin, making getting back to your day a breeze.
The University of Miami’s Touch Research Institute has studied the myriad benefits to chair massage recipients not only encompassing relief from stress and muscle tension, but also an ability to think more clearly and increase efficiency. Chair massage is a win-win: Both for the recipient and the employer!
As with all On-Site Associates’ services, you can come to us, or we will go to you. We welcome your inquiries on the contact us page!
