» About Mary Beth Packard
Biographical Information

Ms. Packard graduated from the Institute of Natural Healing Sciences in July of 1989. Since childhood, when her Mother began having back pain, Mary Beth Packard, Owner and founder of On-Site Associates, wanted to care for people in some capacity. Through her Mother’s difficulty, she learned how to provide relief through touch. She also acquired a sensitivity to touch and learned how to feel for areas of tissue that, even at a very young age, she knew were not right. For as long as she can remember, she knew the path she would take in life. That path brought her to the field of massage therapy.
She began her massage career going to homes, nursing homes, health spas, and chiropractic offices. By 1992, she was able to support a location of her own within the Mallick Tower, near downtown Ft. Worth. The Mallick Tower has been that location (in various forms) ever since. Starting by sharing an office which simply provided a space for marketing, etc., she worked her way up to a small two room suite that afforded her space for both her business office and one massage therapy room. She has gradually increased to her now 8-room suite housing 3 massage rooms, a management office, and a gift shop, and has 6 massage therapists working with her on a contract basis. She also provides massage supplies for therapists.
Ms. Packard has been asked to speak about the benefits of massage by several groups and corporations over the years and in fact, began marketing her craft in this manner when first licensed with the State. A few of the groups include UT Arlington, St. Joseph Hospital, Jamak Fabrication, and various nursing homes and hospice groups.
Ms. Packard specializes in the St. John method of neuromuscular therapy: A technique that consists of a specific program of soft tissue manipulation for the purpose of balancing the body’s brain, spinal cord, and nerves with the structure and form of the muscles and skeletal structure of the body. She has been certified in this technique since 2001.
A Certified Massage Therapy Instructor and Texas Continuing Education Provider, she formulated and has taught numerous workshops in both basic and advanced chair massage techniques. In 2005, she was on staff as a massage therapy instructor at the American Trades Institute in Ft. Worth, a national trade school that has been in operation for more than 35 years. Ms. Packard taught both the Swedish Massage Technique and Anatomy and Physiology.
From 1995 to 1999, she was on the board of the Texas Chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), acting as Chapter Manager, a paid position at that time. Within the duties were the Convention Coordinator, Secretary/Treasurer and Membership Chair. Through her ability to plan, delegate, and work effectively with other board members, the twice- yearly conventions were both well organized and well received.
She applied for and was granted a position with the national AMTA as media spokesperson for Texas; an honor that included paid media training in Chicago. This position yielded her many phone interviews regarding massage therapy, for national magazines such as “Walking Magazine,” and “Redbook.”
Realizing the limitations of what one person could accomplish, Ms. Packard formed On-Site Associates (OSA) in 1994. OSA was originally formed to market therapists other than herself for seated massage within workplaces. It has now become a full service massage therapy company offering seated massage, home visits, and in-office therapy sessions ranging from rehabilitative to “mini” spa. Mary Beth Packard’s team of dedicated therapists works cohesively in a beautiful environment that calms the soul upon entry! The OSA team welcomes one and all to learn about the efficacy and myriad benefits of therapeutic massage.
